Heat Map

​Delmarva Power supports renewable energy and partners with our customers to ensure safe and reliable interconnection of renewable energy and other distributed energy resources into the electric grid.

The Heat Map gives an indication of how much generation (expressed in kW) is currently installed and pending installation on a feeder. The map can be filtered to display pending projects only (Pending Generation), active projects only (Active Generation), or the combination of active plus queued projects (Total Generation) per feeder.

In combination with the “Hosting Capacity Map”, a point of interconnection can be analyzed to approximate the amount of remaining feeder capacity compared to the active and pending PV generation in the queue. This will provide a more accurate representation of the feasibility of interconnection at a particular location.

These values are meant to provide the user with a general idea of availability, space on the desired feeder is not guaranteed and/or may change at any time. All applications for interconnection will still require a full review and may also require additional interconnection costs.
