Ten Delmarva Power Employees Honored for Their Commitment to Providing a Premier Customer Experience

SALISBURY, Md. (November 28, 2018) – Delmarva Power recognized ten outstanding employees with the company's annual Premiere Customer Experience Award for their work in delivering exceptional customer service over the last year. The award recognizes employees who made a difference in the lives of customers through assistance and support on important topics, such as energy bills, energy assistance programs, or service requests. 

 

Delmarva Power established the award as part of its ongoing efforts to continually promote a customer-focused environment and to recognize employees who go above and beyond to provide a positive customer experience.

 

"A call into one of our representatives may be one of the most important interactions a customer has with us," said Mike Poncia, vice president of Customer Operations for Pepco Holdings, which includes Delmarva Power. "Providing customers with a personal and thorough experience is only possible through the hard work and dedication of our team members. This award provides us with an opportunity to acknowledge those who exemplify this commitment and celebrate the continued focus on customer centricity across our company."

 

The employees recognized for their commitment to customer support include:

  • Linda Blaney, a senior customer care specialist from Salisbury, Md. who has worked for Delmarva Power for 39 years.
  • Wanda Lawrence, a Maryland energy advisor from Salisbury, Md. who has worked for Delmarva Power for 18 years.
  • Jennifer Mitchell, a senior community outreach specialist from Salisbury, Md. who has worked for Delmarva Power for 18 years.
  • Vanessa Stanley, a customer care specialist from Salisbury, Md. who has worked for Delmarva Power for nine years.
  • Connie Denston, a Maryland energy advisor from Pocomoke City, Md. who has worked for Delmarva Power for eight years.
  • Melissa Ashley, a customer care specialist from Harrington, Del. who has worked for Delmarva Power for seven years.
  • Chad Conquest, a customer care representative from Salisbury, Md. who has worked for Delmarva Power for two years.
  • Rashieda Farmer, a customer care representative from Salisbury, Md. who has worked for Delmarva Power for two years.
  • Dawn Shaheen, a customer care representative from Salisbury, Md. who has worked for Delmarva Power for two years.
  • Brionna Shockley, a customer care representative from Salisbury, Md. who has worked for Delmarva Power for two years

 

Award recipients were chosen based on feedback provided by customers and their demonstrated ability to bring together their knowledge, listening skills, and drive to deliver an exceptional customer experience. The employees also received trophies and certificates commemorating their accomplishments.
