NEWARK,DEL (March 16, 2017) - Delmarva Power (DPL) has fully restored power to all customers impacted by Winter Storm Stella. Restoration efforts continued around the clock until service was restored to every affected customer.
We began implementing our restoration strategy about a week before the storm swept into the northern Delaware and northeastern Maryland region. High winds, snow, sleet and rain downed trees resulting in downed power lines and damaged the electric system infrastructure.
We mobilized 1,450 total personnel, including 817 line and field support personnel, with assistance from our sister Exelon utilities, BGE from Baltimore, ComEd from Chicago, PECO from Philadelphia and Pepco from the District of Columbia.

We also thank our hard working crews, emergency management agencies, government officials, New Castle County and the Red Cross. We could not have accomplished this restoration effort as safely and efficiently as we have if it were not for the planning, preparation and performance of our staff and crews," said Gary R Stockbridge, Delmarva Region President.
As part of the Exelon family of utilities, all Pepco Holdings utilities now have the added strength and availability of additional resources to ensure customers are restored safely and efficiently during and after a storm event.
