NEWARK, Del. (March 14, 2017) - Delmarva Power has restored service to more than 68,000 customers who were impacted by Winter Storm Stella. In response to a significant number of outages caused by ice, rain and wind, we have requested mutual assistance from our sister utilities at ComEd in Chicago, PECO from Philadelphia and Pepco in the District of Columbia. We are also working closely with the Red Cross and other community partners to help displaced customers.
More than 450 workers from across our Exelon family of utilities will arrive ready to work tomorrow morning. Our Delmarva Power crews and these crews from sister utilities will continue to work as safely and quickly as possible to restore power to every customer in our community. We appreciate the patience of our customers as we work to restore their power.
Customers should continue to report outages at www.delmarva.com or by calling 1-800-898-8042 and following the prompts on the automated system. Customers' reports are vital to our restoration efforts because, combined with other customer calls and our technology, it helps identify the precise location of outages more quickly. If reporting an emergency or another life-threatening situation such as downed wires, customers should immediately call 1-800-375-7117 and follow the appropriate prompts. Multiple call center sites have been staffed to support customer service efforts and our systems have been networked together for expanded capacity.
