NEWARK, Del. (June 22, 2016) - Delmarva Power is actively monitoring a potential storm system that is expected to bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to Delmarva Power's service territory as early as midnight tonight and into tomorrow afternoon. Another storm system is expected to come through the region later Thursday afternoon into Thursday night.
Delmarva Power would like to remind customers to prepare for the possibility of power outages that could last more than one day. If service interruptions occur, Delmarva Power crews will work around the clock until all customers' power has been restored. Should Delmarva Power need assistance, the company could potentially draw upon resources from our family of companies including those from Baltimore Gas & Electric, PECO in Philadelphia and ComEd in Chicago.
Delmarva Power is in contact with local emergency management officials.
