Delmarva Power Vice President Named to Maryland Governor's Emergency Management Advisory Council

SALISBURY, Md. -- Delmarva Power region vice president John Allen has been named to the Maryland Governor's Emergency Management Advisory Council, which serves as an independent advisory body and advises Gov. Larry Hogan on all matters that relate to emergency management in the state.

The council brings together local, state and private-sector experts and stakeholders to discuss and develop specific policy recommendations for further study or investigation by emergency management officials. Members are given the opportunity to suggest ideas and alternatives and raise concerns or points of view for consideration.

"I'm honored to be named to the Governor's Emergency Management Advisory Council and look forward to engaging in meaningful dialogue with other business and civic professionals to help map out emergency management plans for Maryland," said Allen. "This new assignment ties in nicely with our support of fire service, law enforcement and emergency management personnel through our company's 16-year old Emergency Services Partnership Program."
