NEWARK, Del. - Customers will see slightly lower monthly electric bills starting
today as the new Standard Offer Service (SOS) rates take effect for Delmarva
Power's Delaware residential customers.
A typical customer who
uses about 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per month will see their overall
bill decrease around $2.48 or about 1.7 percent. The decrease stems from our
current business practices and contract procurements over a three year period.
Charges for SOS pay for
the electricity customers use and equal about two-thirds of a customer's bill.
