Newark, Del. - Delmarva Power in partnership with the Delaware 87ers, the NBA's D-League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, will honor local military heroes and focus on the workforce support mission of the Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve's (ESGR) on April 4, 2015 at the Bob Carpenter Center.

This final game of the 87ers season will center on the ESGR Delaware Chapter's statewide outreach efforts to raise awareness regarding our active military and veteran's needs in the workplace as well as the home front.

"Delmarva Power and the Delaware Chapter of the Employer Support of the Guard and the Reserve are proud to work with the 87ers and celebrate all Delaware military members, veterans, their families and supporters to raise awareness and create new opportunities for our heroes and our customers ," said Gary Stockbridge, Delmarva Power region president and DE ESGR chair. "We come together as fans of freedom, service and dedication while bonding through 87ers basketball.

Before and during the game, Delmarva Power will have representatives on site to discuss potential career opportunities for individuals in the National Guard, Reserves, Veterans, Transitioning Service Members and military dependents.  "When a company can hire a member of our military or a veteran, they are getting a highly trained, versatile professional and natural leader," added Stockbridge.

Additionally, Delmarva Power customer care representatives will be on hand to provide information to all fans regarding upcoming energy and money saving opportunities through various energy efficiency programs.
