NEWARK, D.E. - Delmarva Power is preparing to respond to potential outages
stemming from an approaching winter weather system. The National Weather
Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Delaware and Maryland today.

skidding into poles along slick roads.
In anticipation of the
inclement weather, Delmarva will have crews on standby, and the Call Center
will be staffed to handle additional customer calls. In addition to more than
100 internal crews, Delmarva Power has hundreds of contractors already working
on the system available to assist with restoration if needed. Safety is our No.
1 priority. We urge our customers to prepare for potential outages and to stay
clear of working crews and any wires hanging loose from poles or lying on the
ground. If you see a downed power line, stay away from it. Assume that all
downed power lines are live and extremely dangerous. Customers are asked to please
report any outages and downed wires by calling 1-800-898-8042. Customers also
may report outages through delmarva.com or our mobile app. It is important that
