Utility Asks Customers to Prepare for Possible Outages
NEWARK, Del. - Delmarva Power is closely monitoring the wintry mix of hazardous weather that's expected to reach the region late tonight. The National Weather Service is predicting snow, freezing rain, and sleet overnight, which will turn to freezing rain and sleet early Saturday.
Snow and freezing rain can weigh down tree limbs bringing them into contact with power lines causing power outages. Customers should report their outages to Delmarva Power by calling 800-898-8042.
