Customers Asked to Be Prepared
NEWARK , Del. - Delmarva Power is closely monitoring the approach of the mixture of rain and snow, which is expected to reach the company's service territory Saturday . In some areas, weather forecasts are calling for the potential of several inches of heavy wet snow, which when combined with leaves that remain on trees will add to the weight of the limbs leading to possible contact with poles and wires and resulting in power outages.
Delmarva Power has scheduled additional crews including tree trimming crews and support personnel to work throughout the storm. In addition, extra crews are on call to assist with the restoration effort as needed.
