Pepco Holdings to Open Mid-Atlantic Power Pathway Office in Cambridge, Md.

Local office to serve as an important source of information for area residents

CAMBRIDGE , Md. - Pepco Holdings Inc., the parent company of Delmarva Power, said today it will open a Mid-Atlantic Power Pathway (MAPP) office in Cambridge, Md., on Monday, Oct. 5 to serve as an information center where area residents can get facts about the proposed high-voltage transmission line.

The office is located at 828 Airpax Road, Suite B700, in the Blackwater Professional Buildings complex, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays.

"We look forward to the Cambridge MAPP office serving as a one-stop resource center that Eastern Shore residents will visit from time to time to pick up materials or ask questions about the project," said Bob Jubic, MAPP project manager.

The office will include a computer station that residents can use to access the MAPP Web site (

The MAPP project will enhance electric reliability and relieve transmission line congestion on the Delmarva Peninsula and throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. The line will begin in northern Virginia and continue for 150 miles across southern Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay before ending in Millsboro, Del.
