Arbor Day Foundation Honors Delmarva Power

Utility Named “Tree Line USA Utility” for 11th Straight Year
NEWARK , Del. – For the 11th consecutive year, Delmarva Power has been named by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree Line USA Utility for its practices in protecting and enhancing local forests.
The Tree Line USA program is sponsored by the Arbor Day Foundation in cooperation with individual state forestry agencies and honors utilities that take great measures to provide quality tree care. It recognizes utilities that meet these requirements:
- Operates a program of quality tree care;
- Trains workers annually in quality tree care practices; and
- Implements a tree planting and public education program.
“ Trees are a valuable asset to the communities we serve,” said Gary Stockbridge, President, Delmarva Power Region. “Delmarva Power is grateful for this recognition and credits its employees and customers for working together to preserve this asset.”
The Arbor Day foundation, a nonprofit education organization, is dedicated to tree planting and environmental stewardship. Tree Line USA utilities include both investor-owned and public providers who have demonstrated commitment to public education, tree planting and quality care.
