Enid Wallace-Simms Named Christiana Care Trustee

NEWARK, DE – Delaware’s largest public health care facility has a new trusted friend – Delmarva Power Region Public Affairs Manager Enid Wallace-Simms.
Wallace-Simms, a lifelong Wilmington resident, was recently selected to serve as a Trustee at Christiana Care Health System.
“I’m passionate about a wide variety of social issues and causes, and health care is certainly an important area for me,” said Wallace-Simms. “As a Christiana Care Trustee, I remain committed to health care issues, especially health care disparities among the less-fortunate here in our local community.”
Wallace-Simms joined Delmarva Power in 1980 where she has held a variety of positions, in areas such as insurance and claims, public relations and governmental affairs. Among her many responsibilities with Delmarva Power, she also works with a number of diverse organizations to support philanthropic and volunteerism in the greater Wilmington community.
Earlier this year, Wallace-Simms received an “Outstanding Community Service” award from the Martin Luther King Center for Non-Violence in downtown Wilmington. She also was recently recognized by the Wilmington City Council for her commitment to community service. The council chose her as one of the first honorees of the Hattie M. Phelan “Profile in Courage” Award.
