New Users Earn Chance to Win Major League Baseball Tickets

NEWARK , DE – This summer, Delmarva Power is sweetening the deal for customers who learn how to save energy and money with the help of the company’s Web site. That’s because new web users also get a chance to win a “Major League Baseball Fun Night.”

The contest is aimed at encouraging the utility’s customers to register to use “My Account,” a free, interactive tool on its Web site that helps customers learn how to save money on their monthly bills by reducing the amount of energy they use.

Now through August 15th, Delmarva Power is offering new users of “My Account” a chance to win four tickets to see either the Baltimore Orioles or Philadelphia Phillies (depending on where the winning customer lives), plus a gift card to use toward food at the game. The contest is limited to new users, defined as customers who register to use the “My Account” tool between July 1 and Aug. 15. The winners – three in all – will be notified by Sept. 1.

“Thousands of customers have successfully used ‘My Account’ to help them save on their monthly energy bills. The baseball contest is our way of further encouraging those customers who have not used the tool to do so,” said company spokeswoman Bridget Shelton.

Here’s what is needed to register to use “My Account” and enter the contest:

  • Go to www.delmarva.com
  • Click “My Account”
  • Register (you will need to know your account number which is listed on your Delmarva Power bill, the exact account name and current amount due)

Delmarva Power’s “My Account” tool is easy and free to use. It enables customers to perform a home energy audit, learn ways they can save energy in their homes and, as a result, save money on their monthly bills.
