Delmarva Power Announces New Region Vice President

Salisbury, Md. - Delmarva Power Region President Gary Stockbridge announced that John J. Allen, Jr. has been named Vice President for the company''s Bay Region service territory. Allen will be responsible for building and maintaining community, business and government relationships in central and southern Delaware and on the eastern shore of Maryland and Virginia.
With more than 25 years working for the company, Allen previously served as the manager of the utility''s Customer Care Call Center in Carneys Point, N.J. and the Training and Performance department. He is a member of the International Society of Performance Improvement and the American Society for Training and Development. Allen attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania and holds bachelors and masters degrees from Southwest Bible College and Seminary in Louisiana.
Allen''s community involvement includes serving on the board of directors for the Boy Scouts of America, YMCA Mentoring Program, Youth at Risk, Prison Outreach Ministries, Taking His Word Ministries, Community Athletic Association, as well as The Wilmington Optimist League and West End Neighborhood House in Wilmington, Del. Allen and his family will be relocating to Seaford, Del., in the near future.
