DELMARVA POWER GIVEN ‘THANKS’ FOR WARMING HEARTS
While recent reports suggest charitable giving is down, one Delaware charity announces expanding its effort thanks to the support of many, including Delmarva Power.
New Castle Region Vice President Glenn Moore recently joined “Warm the Heart” founder Mark Aitken and Governor Jack Markell at two news conferences announcing that the charity, which provides free furnaces to impoverished Delaware families, was expanding statewide. Delmarva Power has supported the Wilmington, Del.-based non-profit organization since its 2005 inception, donating $100,000 to the charity.
“The good folks at Delmarva Power didn’t hesitate when we called them four years ago and asked for their corporate support,” Aitken told those attending the news conferences. “Thankfully, Delmarva Power continues to show its support for helping families in need.”
