  • We support renewable energy and partner with our customers to ensure safe and reliable interconnection of renewable energy into the electric grid.

The decision to install solar panels, a wind generator, or another renewable generating system on your property requires careful consideration of a variety of factors:  cost, financing, availability of rebates and incentives, maintenance requirements, the slope of your roof (south or west facing is best), and whether your roof is in shade for all or part of the day (this will affect your solar production).  Making your premise as energy-efficient as possible may reduce the number of solar panels you need, which could help save you money. In some areas, the electric circuit that services your premise may be restricted to additional interconnection without a costly upgrade.  The following will help you research and evaluate whether a renewable generating system is right for you.

Once you decide to install a system, you will need to connect it to the electric grid.  The following information will guide you through the interconnection process.
