Delmarva Power Launches New “Energy Know How” Campaign
Week Long Series of Events Stress Ways to Save Energy and Money
WHAT: Delmarva Power will introduce its new “Energy Know How” campaign, which is designed to educate customers on how to use energy wisely and save money. Series of events planned to highlight energy saving strategies.
WHEN and WHERE:
Tuesday, January 17, 10 AM at 1620 W. 2nd Street, Wilmington
Officials will install a free, new energy efficient furnace for a deserving low-income resident.
Wednesday, January 18, 11 AM at 400 N. Orange St, 2nd floor, Wilmington
Delmarva Power and Salvation Army officials will discuss the Good Neighbor Energy Fund, a program through which the company matches customer donations to help others pay their energy bills.
Friday, January 20, 1-3 PM at Kingswood Comm. Center, 2300 Bowers St., Wilmington
The first of a series of hands-on seminars designed to help low and fixed income residents learn how to weatherize their home and save money.
WHO: Delmarva Power Regional President Gary Stockbridge, Delmarva Power Regional Vice President Glenn Moore, Salvation Army Major Phillip DeMichael, Dave Geiger and Mark Aitken, founders of the Warm the Heart Fund, a program that installs free energy efficient furnaces for deserving area residents.
WHY: With rising energy prices, it is important that customers have the “Energy Know How” to understand what they can do to save energy and save money.
