Working Together for Energy Efficiency
Delmarva Power is working with a number of local and national organizations to implement our plan for a more energy-efficient future.

One such partnership is with Clinton Global Initiatives (CGI). Delmarva Power’s parent company, Pepco Holdings Inc., along with seven other electric utilities, recently announced a partnership with Clinton Global Initiatives (CGI) to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions through greater energy efficiency.
This partnership supports Delmarva Power’s Blueprint for the Future initiative, which is a proposal of new technologies for the customer that will enhance reliability, increase energy efficiency and protect the environment.

Together, the team of utilities expects to invest about $1 billion a year total in energy efficiency over the next three years. That level of investment avoid about five million tons per year of carbon dioxide emissions – equal to removing about one million cars from the roadways and reducing the need for more than 10 500-megawatt peak power plants.
As part of the initiative, the utilities also support creating the Institute for Electric Efficiency (IEE), which was formed by the Edison Electric Institute.
