As a certified
electrician, you will be allowed to remove non-bolt in meters only. In
addition, only one meter will be
authorized to be pulled at multi-unit dwellings/apartment complexes or
commercial multi-metered complexes. For
all other meter types or to remove multiple meters, you must follow normal procedures
for completing the work, which includes contacting us to remove the meter(s). There
are no changes to the electrical inspection requirements with this program.
Yes, you must still contact
our Distribution Engineering Department (Monday - Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) to notify
us of the meter removal and reinstall dates (if different). If those dates
change, you are required to contact us again with updated information.
